A NEW Granada motorway service area is to be built on the junction of the M62 and Al at Ferrybridge in West Yorkshire.
The site will provide parking for 45 commercial vehicles and the usual toilet, petrol and food facilities.
Construction work will start soon with the MSA open around Easter 1985.
Announcing it, Transport Minister Lynda Chalker said: "Here is an excellent example of private enterprise and Government working together to produce a much-needed facility for the travelling public."
