Economy of the Semi-trailer rOutfit.

We publish on this page a picture of an interesting outfit, which is in use by Messrs. Carless. Capel and Leonard, the well-known petrol distributing concern. It consists of a Fordson motive unit, to which is coupled a Dyson semitrailer.

The outfit is of particular interest, because three semi-trailer units are operated with the Fordson. The former are of the Instant-fit type, made by It. A. Dyson and Co., Ltd., Grafton Street, Liverpool, and they are equipped with rubber-tyred leg wheels, so that they can be readily manoeuvred when they are detached from the motive unit.

This pa] Ocular vehicle has been in the service of Messrs. Carless, Capel and Leonard for some little while, and they state that, in certain cases, on shortjourney wor k, the Fordson with semitrailers can do as much work as three 5-ton lorries.
