French utility and heavy goods vehicle market conducted by SAEP for the French Ministry of Transport has concluded that there are interesting openings for manufacturers in the light vehicle sector. The annual growth rate for this end of the market is an encouraging 15%, but heavy goods vehicles are not doing so well. The only remaning French truck builder, RV1, has to contend not only with a depressed market, but also with a price war. Its production has fallen by around 10%.
