• Norbert Dentressangle is continuing to expand in the UK with the purchase of Leighton Buzzardbased AJG International Transport.
ND UK managing director Ray McCord says the AJG takeover will boost the company's international groupage and partloads business between the UK, Italy and Spain. AJG runs 30 trucks and has an annual turnover of £6m: it will retain its name and management.
ND has already gained a strong foothold in the UK through the takeover of Sheddick and Aston Clinton Haulage. At the beginning of this month it launched Autolog, which specialises in moving car parts, and plans more ventures.
