Prices have been reduced by at least 20% across the range: the Strato 17.380M high-roof 4x2 tractive unit is down almost 29% from £72,101 to £51,430. An Eaton synchromesh gearbox and rear air suspension are now fitted as standard but they can be deleted to save a further £2,272.

Strato 17-tonners have been reduced by around 35%, despite improved specifications. Front axles are now

rated at eight tonnes; models are now known as the 18.215 and 18.235.

Volvo was the first truck firm to introduce "realistic" pricing in the UK, followed by others including Seddon Atkinson's arch-rival ERF. According to Leonelli, Seddon Atkinson is "reflecting the fact that most manufacturers' list prices are ridiculously high. There's no point to publishing an outdated price".
