Mr. William L. Black has been appointed general manager at the, Darlington works of the Cummins Engine Co. Ltd. Mr. Black has been with Cummins for the past seven years; he was administration controller at Cummins' Shotts plant and before that was its personnel manager. Originally trained as an engineer in Glasgow after graduating from Glasgow University, Mr. Black was born at Motherwell and has worked in Scotland most of his life. Mr. Gordon Snooks becomes manager of manufacturing at Cummins' Darlington factory; he has held the same post at Shotts for the past 34years. Before that he was for 19 years with the British Motor Corporation and Morris Motors.
