AS forecast in The Commercial Motor on February 27. rates have been agreed between the Road Haulage Association and the Ministry of Works for haulage in connection with emergency-repairs in the flooded areas. The schedule published below does not include charges for subsistence, dead

mileage and other exceptional expenses. which should be submitted to the Ministry for agreement.

Rates are based on an average for a 6-ton tipper, and do not apply to Clicence vehicles. A main contractor's own transport, or that of a subsidiary, is charged at 5 per cent. less.
