Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

STRIKE ACTION at supermarket icelands distribution depot in Flint, North Wales, was called off last Thursday pending a ballot among members on improvements to redundancy payments.

The Transport and General Workers Union (T&G) remains tight-lipped on the contents of the proposals, but a spokesman says they were "enhanced enough to constitute a new offer which we are obliged to put to ballot".

The dispute is over Iceland's decision to close the depot at the end of September and relocate to Warrington (CM 20 July). Some 350 employees, including 120 drivers, will be affected by the move.

The spokesman says pickets outside the Flint site on 14 July had a "mailor impact" on the supermarket's decision to request a meeting with local T&G leaders and begin negotiating the improvements.

Suspension of industrial activity will end on Thursday 27 July and a ballot of members will then take place,
