Dans of movies starring lorries and buses might well enjoy Speed, starring Keanu Reeves and Dennis Hopper, and recently released on video.
Taking a leaf out of the Airport disaster movies, the -film follows the adventures of a Los Angeles city bus with a bomb planted under its chassis by a crazed blackmailer, played by Hopper, who is demanding $3m ransom from the authorities
Impending disaster hinges on the fact that the bomb will go off if the bus goes below 50mph. (A kind of speed limiter in reverse) The passengers are rescued with the aid of a lorry-loader building a "bridge" to the bus. All good fun—but don't try this on tine M2.5.
