I Perth-based Stagecoach has xtended its attack on Scottish us Group subsidiary Strathtay -om Perth to Dundee, It has ow registered services match

Strathtay's busy Tayway outes from Dundee, east of lonifieth and Camoustie. Last month, Stagecoach rought in Leyland Nationals om other group companies to ompete on one of Strathtay's lost lucrative city services, nder the new fleetname Perth 'anther. A second competing ervice was launched this month, and Stagecoach has registered a minibus service in Perth and an inter-urban service to Crieff and Comrie. All are timed to run just ahead of Strathtay's schedules.

The Strathtay company recently lost managing director Neil Renilson to Stagecoach, and is struggling to fight back while preparing for privatisation. It is also hampered by Scottish Office investment restrictions which prevent it buying new vehicles to combat competition.
