STRATHCLYDE Regional Council's internal transport department is buying 342 vehicles and plant as part of its 1979/80 vehicle replacement programme.
Orders worth £2.02m have been placed with local dealers for the supply of Ford, Leyland, Bedford, Dodge, and Massey Ferguson vehicles and plant as part of its £2.8m programme.
The department was featured in CM June 29.
