ONDON Transport has placed orders for 100 new generation Duble decker buses.
The buses, part of an order for 450 buses originally authorised y the Greater London Council, will be made up of 50 Leyland Itans and 50 MCW Metrobuses.
Each order also includes an option to purchase more vehicles t a later date.
Both the Metrobuses and the Titans are dual entrance models nd will have similar body layouts.
The Metrobuses will join five already ordered which should be 1 service by the Spring.
Both batches of buses are to be powered by Gardner 6LXB ngines.
Li is also to replace more of its seven-year-old AEC Swifts by ,eyland Nationals from next week on.
