MR. PAUL N. MarroN, managing director of Trico-Folberth Ltd., left London last Saturday on a visit to the new Trico • factory in Melbourne.

MR. LESLIE F. VOLSEY has been appointed tank sales engineerof York Trailer Co., Ltd. He has been concerned with the manufacture of articulated vehicles since 1932 and for the past 15 years has specialized on problems of bulk transport.
MR. MORLEY A. GRIFFITH-JONES has been appointed general sales manager of Chloride Batteries, Ltd., Manchester. He will be responsible for sales of all the company's products in the United Kingdom and overseas. Mr. Griffith-Jones was awarded the O.B.E. in .1944.
_ ,MR., N.P. lhoos has been appointed . chairman of theiCleyeland Petroleum Co., Ltd. .He has been a director. of. the company Since 1956 and his new appointment follows the retirement of MR. R. J. FINDER. Mr. Pinder has also retired as a managing director of the Esso Petroleum Co., Ltd., after 40 years with the company.
MR, R. J. M. PERRE_TT has been appointed district manager (Bristol District) Western Division, of the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (Gt. Britain), Ltd. MR. D. F. TowEits is now district manager (Birmingham District), replacing Mr. Perrett, and MR. P. G. L. DRARELE, has been appointed district manager (Nottingham District) Midland Division, replacing Mr. Towers. MR. E. G. SMETHUR9T has been appointed manager of the North Western sales division with headquarters at Manchester. MR. P. F. KAVANAGH has been appointed assistant divisional manager, Scottish Division, at Glasgow, R22 MR, L. T. DUINCAN has been appointed traffic manager (operating) of the Western and Southern National Omnibus companies. MR. C. H. PREECE remains traffic manager (commercial) of these companies.
MR. R. A. ADAMS, advertising manager of the Ford Motor Co., Ltd., and MR. J. 1. FIELD, advertising manager of the Nuffield Organization, have been awarded fellowships of the Incorporated Advertising Managers' Association. MR, W. L.. WATSON, formerly works manager at the Northampton works of Pollard Bearings, Ltd., has now moved to the principal works at Ferrybridge as works manager. . M. D. S. MEEKS of Blue Peter Retreads, Ltd., has been promoted from chief draughtsman to plant engineer in charge of the company's engineering and maintenance department.
MR. 1011N FORD, secretary Of A.E.C., and MR. A. V. HEAD, deputy general service manager, have left London for an extensive tour of South and Central Africa to expand service and general facilities available to A.E.C. operators in those areas.
MR, H. A. HULKS and MR. H. J. BUSHELL, senior sales representatives of Joseph Lucas (Export), Ltd., leave London nest week for further sales tours in different parts of the world. Mr. Hulks is going to the South Americas and Mr. Bushell is travelling around the Far East. Both are expected back in London during April.
• MR. JAMES WINSTANLEY has been appointed general 'overseas manufacturing manager of F. Perkins, Ltd. He will be responsible to MR, K. E. WC/CILIATE. director of the overseas manufacturing division. Mr. Winstanley, 33, joins the Peterborough organization from J. Stone and Co. (Deptford), Ltd., where he was assistant., to the managing director and assistant manager of the contracts department.
