MRS, L. M. Cry, of Edward Box and Co., Ltd., Liverpool, has been appointed secretary, following a meeting of representatives of controlled undertakings in the North-western Regiori, when a provisional committee was elected. She fills the position that was temporarily occupied by MR. G. J. MULLARY, of Harding Bros. Transport, Ltd., Liverpool:
MR. ROBERT TAYLOR, general secretary of the Scottish Horse and Motormen's Association, has been elected a director of the Scottish Co-operative :Wholesale Society, in succession to Mr. William Gallacher, who is retiring. Mr. Taylor is also treasurer_ of the General Council of the T.U.C. He will resign his trade union appointment, as his new duties• will require his whole attention.
MR. S. W. GOODEY, the popular publicity manager of the Associated Equipment Co., Ltd., has been re elected a member of the-trade, technical and vigilance committee of the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers. the interests of which he has served for some years. Amongst other activities which he has in the same sphere, it can be mentioned that he is a Fellow of the Incorporated Society of Advertisement Consultants, whilst he is a keen member of the Publicity Club in London, MR. R. H. FARO, 0.B.E., chief engineer of Pick.fords, Ltd., has been elected a member of the Institute of Transport, as have MEssas. H.
