• Tata has released details of its Safari 2.0 TDi 4x4, which goes on sale in the UK in May The five-door, seven-seat Safari is powered by a 2.0-litre, 90hp charge-cooled turbodiesel driving through a dualrange five-speed transmission with electrically controlled fourwheel drive, limited-slip diff and automatic front hubs as standard. The accommodation features a very high level of specification, including air conditioning, power steering, electric windows, mirrors and locking, and a four-speaker stereo system.
The on-the-road price (including VAT) will be £14,995, and Tata's usual three-year 60,000-mile warranty will apply.
