• Experience gained during the Christmas period has led to a resumption of a "park and ride" scheme in Norwich.
The scheme, arranged jointly between Eastern Counties Bus Co and Norwich Corporation, will last for an eight-week
period from Easter and comes at a time when one of Norwich's main car parks was taken over by an Easter fair.
A 20p ticket allows all-day car parking in an off-centre car park and bus transport to and from city centre for all passengers. Eastern Counties traffic manager, Mr John Madgett, says he expects the scheme to prove successful and demonstrate that a proper balance between public and private transport will work to the best advantage of everyone.
