F, Hendry, in a strong protest letter to Mr. John Hay, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport. Licensing officials, Mr. Hendry asserts. were assuming dictatorial powers which, in his opinion, they were never intended to possess. His protest letter follows complaints, he says, from small haulage contractors in his constituency about the tone of communications received.
