Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Microfare is a new portable ticket issuing machine from Cirencester-based Almex Control Systems. The unit weighs less than 0.9kg including the battery pack and can store information about tickets issued for later memory recall.

Almex has designed Microfare to work with its other ticketing machines or to operate with a microcomputer. The unit is powered by rechargeable batteries and has a capacity of around 250 tickets. It can be fitted to vehicles for operators who want a fixed rather than a portable system.

The first 1,000 Microfare units are being built for use on the railways in the United States, but Almex hopes to win orders in this country from PSV operators.
