2210 million (SKr2.28 billion). This is Volvo's strongest thirdquarter profit growth since 1929, but company profits for the first nine months of the year are 2.9% down on turnover which is up 8.6%. During the third quarter truck sales increased 14%, to give a total rise of 9% in truck sales for the first nine months of the year.
Volvo says the truck market has grown at a rate of 17% so far this year. The company has failed to keep pace with the sales growth despite operating at full capacity.
In the past twelve months the company has delivered 33,000 trucks compared with 31,000 in the same period last year.
