• Bear Automotive (UK) introduces to the British market its American parent's truck and car wheel alignment systems. The TAC-4 is a computerised, medium-price (P7,098) unit with total four-wheel alignment capability that can be upgraded with changing vehicle specifications. High resolution graphics, of course, eliminate trial and error methods.
The TAC-4 specification includes a roll-around stand, printer, remote display and spec stand. The Dimension-4 unit (p9, 465) employs four wheelmounted microprocessors, infra-red image recognition and "space-age attitude" recognition systems to calculate steering and suspension geometry. Detailed diagnostic print-outs are provided for the technician and customer.
