• Mr P. M. Thomas has been reappointed chairman of the Scottish Transport Group by the Secretary of State for Scotland. Mr Thomas is a director of William Beardmore and Co Ltd.
Mr W. M. Little, who is chairman of the Scottish Bus Group and part-time member of the NBC, has been reappointed a full-time member of the STG.
New appointments to the STG are those of Mr R. B. Dick, an executive director of the SBG, and Lord Provost D. K. Thomson of Perth who is chairman and managing director of Peter Thomson (Perth) Ltd.
Appointed part-time STG members are Prof K. J. W. Alexander, Professor of Economics at Strathclyde University; Mr A. M. Donnet, Scottish organizer of the NUGMW; and Mr P. C. Somerville, chairman and md of John Gibson and Co.
