St Peters House. Bishops Road, Peterborough, Camhridgshire PE1 i YE Lawrence David is another prominent builder of dry freight trailers and bodywork, especially its trademark pillarless curtainsider, to have experienced increased demand over the past few years.
Many of its current 60-unit weekly build are hydraulically moving doubledeck trailers but it also makes short two-axled urban artic trailers equipped with Tridec's command steer. A batch of 20 are about to be completed.
According to LD's sales director Chris Curzon, this year's twin decker build is expected to exceed 600 and typical double deck trailer users are the major supermarkets and parcel fleets.
