PRIVATE hauliers and garages could benefit next year from the proposals contained in a Defence White Paper released last week.
Defence secretary Michael Heseltine told the House of Commons on Monday that he intends to put out to competitive tender Ministry of Defence freight now carried by either National Freight or British Rail.
