FUTURE MANPOWER needs in the field of urban transportation planning are to be the subject of a special inquiry to be made on behalf of the Minister of Transport. Baroness Sharp of Homsey will head the inquiry with the following terms of reference: "To examine the manpower implications of likely developments in the next 25 years in urban transport planning, including highway planning, traffic management, public transport and allied fields; to consider the needs of manpower, its calibre, qualifications, training and organization, with particular reference to local government; and to suggest what needs to be done."
