BIRMINGHAM and Midland Motor Omnibus Co. Ltd., has submitted a revised application for fares increases following the decision by West Midland Traffic Commissioners (CM, last week) not to grant the company's application in full.
Midland Red applied for fares increases to attract a return on capital of 10 per cent, but the Commissioners asked for—and said they would be prepared to grant—a revision of the scale to attract a return of only 8 per cent.
A company spokesman said: "We have fallen into line with the Commissioners' advice. There will be no appeal".
