IN a new two-stage fuel filter announced by Automotive Products Co., Ltd., Leamington Spa, both the primary and secondary fillers are built as a unit. The unit is, in effect, two components connected by a common head.
The fuel first passes through a primary metal edge-type of element which removes the larger particles of foreign matter. It then flows through a secondary plastic-impregnated paper element which arrests the finest contaminants.
To clean the primary filter element is simple. In the case of the secondary filter, the element is expendable and when choked can be replaced for a few shillings. The elemplete unit has a nominal capacity rating of 4 g.p.m,
