WELSH Under Secretary Michael Roberts has opened the 1E17r A4042 New Inn, Pontypool by-pass scheme.

The by-pass, completed five creating an infrastructure i months ahead of schedule, provides a 6km (3.8m) dual two-lane carriageway from the end of the Croesyceiliog by-pass to the existing dual carriageway near the Parke Davis factory near Pontypool.

Speaking at the official opening, Mr Roberts said the Government is committed to
