NEARLY 400 jobs will disappear from Karrier Motors' Luton and Dunstable plants as part of the final phase of the separation of the company's activities from Talbot. Some new jobs are also being created.

Karrier, which builds Dodge commercials in Britain and imports Renaults from France, is owned jointly by Talbot and Renault and is controlled by Renault. It has been re-establishing itself as an autonomous manufacturing company, and 250 vehicle engineering, product planning, purchasing, marketing, service, and administra tive jobs are being transfern from London and Coventry Dunstable.

While 396 production, super sory, administrative, and ma agement jobs will disappe from Luton and Dunstable, new posts are being created sales and marketing and vehic engineering.

The Renault takeover has Ni tually ended the British co pany's reliance on Spanish-bt heavyweight Dodges. These E no longer being active promoted, the spokesman si this week, and Karrier is aimi for greater market penetrati with the Renualt TR-Seri which is now available throu the emerging joint Renau Dodge dealer network.
