Two new wing mirrors introduced by Desmo Ltd have been designed to satisfy new international safety regulations, say the makers.
The normal sharp angle and edges have entirely disappeared from the mirror stems and the gentle curve of the new design has been produced to blend with the current light vehicle body styles. The head fixing is by means of a flat, broad screw which reduces risk of injury and damage. The spring-loaded return action has been retained.
The two mirrors are the 270 which has a short stem and the 271 with a long stem. Heads on both measure 5.5in. by 2.5in, tapering to 2.5in.
The glass—convex or flat— can be easily replaced, and glasses are available from garages. Halfords or any good accessory shop.
