• Children under 16 travelling in groups of 15 or more are banned from French roads on Saturday 28 July. The ban applies from midnight to midnight.
Gardeners' whirl
• Crosville Wales is running a special daily service on a circular route linking Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Bodnant Garden with a 17year-old Bristol RE. The bus has a white livery with flowers and lettering advertising Bodnant Garden, which sponsored the idea. The fare for the round trip, which takes more than an hour, is £1.
