• The downfall of miniconglomerate Parkfield has affected two of its businesses involved in CV chassis and wheel manuf-acturing Administrators, who are looking into the affairs of the group, are also looking at Parkfield Steel Wheels and Parkfield Thompson Chassis at Wolverhampton. Both firms are still trading under the same management.
However, Chris Davies, a director of Parkfield, says a change of ownership for both businesses is possible. The company is already talking to several firms. Davies declined to comment on rumoured GKN interest, but says: "That is typical of the type of buyer we are talking to."
