To fulfil the requirements for an automatic opening and closing device for overhead doors of tip to 4.27m (14 ft) high, Bolton Gate has introduced its Bolton type K operating unit which uses an electric motor of 0.25kW (0.33 hp) fitted to the end of the horizontal guide rail.
The maximum sizes of Bolton Gate sectional overhead doors are, for the
Supertight, 4.42 m (14 ft 6i) high by 4.29m (16 ft 2 in) wide: and for the Filuma 4.275m (15ft 6 in) high by 5.54 m(18 ft 2 in) wide, Use of the type K unit requires an extra 102 mm (4 in) over the clearance needed for the door.
