Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ROBARLY the strangest pair of

I vehicles in use in municipal service is two electric wagons in use by the electricity department of the Keighley Corporation, pictures of which are shown herewith. The smaller -vehicle is a product of war-time and a direct result of the petrol restrictions. Requiring a motor wagon the. department saw TIO chance of obtaining one through recognized channels, or of getting petrel if a petrol lorry were obtained, and cons-e quently the staff set to work to make an electric vehicle from fittings which were at hand. With very little expense the tipping wagon illustrated was made, and constant use, doing all kinds of odd jobs from hauling coal to the transport of plant required for cable laying, proved that the vehicle was so economical that it was retained when other Vehicles became available, and it: is still in regular use.

The other vehicle., which has been purchased since the war, is of German

manufacture, and hears the namn " N.A.G." It is of five-ton capacity, and travels 40 miles on one battery charge, while one set of batteries was

replaced after 12 months' service. Itcarries a full load with evident ease, but does not reach a high speed. When travelling it is quite noiseless, however. The chassis construction is typical of most German designs, and the halfelliptical springs are supplemented by coil springs which come into action when the vehicle is loaded.
