THE FIRST two Ford Cargos to be equipped with welded aluminium bodies by Edbro of Bolton have been sold to Norwich builder R. G. Carter.
The 6.9cum (9cuyd) dropside body, tipped by a single Edbro 4LNC bore-seal hoist, mounted on a 1615 Cargo chassis with a 3.52m (lift 61/2in) wheelbase was supplied by Days Garage of Lowestoft and will be used to transport sand, soil and gravel within a 30-mile radius of Drayton.
