AMASS meeting of drivers from four Midland Red garages—Birmingham (Digbeth), Bromsgrove, Worcester and Malvern—has been called for today (Friday) to decide whether a company proposal to cut the journey time on the Birmingham Malvern Wells route by 22 minutes can be accepted.
The men fear that if the West Midland Traffic Commissioners accept the revised timetable, it could be a danger to road safety. At present the timetable allows 2 hr. 22 min. for the 37-mile journey.
