Northumberland road haulage firm, claimed to be nearly 100 years old, made a successful application at Alnwick on Monday for an A licence to cover eight vehicles and two trailers for a limited company incorporated into the parent firm a little more than a year ago. The existing B licence was surrendered.

The firm, Thomas Muckle and Sons (Transporters) Ltd., of Rothbury, which first started operating with horses anc carts carrying building materials, was saic by Mr. T. H. Campbell Wardlaw tc operate all over Great Britain haulini livestock and other agricultural goods.
