Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DEWSBURY, West Yorks-based M&B Waste Management has been bought by recycling company Greenstar after its owners decided this was the only way the firm could survive. M&B Waste Management's managing director, Clive Hoyland, says pressure from industry regulations and a commitment to maintaining the jobs of all 70 of its employees meant it had to sell to a "forward-thinking, dynamic organisation". Although unwilling to disclose the sale price, Hoyland says it is "business as usual" — he will be staying on in his current role. His brother, who was company chairman, has retired.

M&B Waste Management is a wholly owned subsidiary of M&B Haulage and Waste Paper Company; it specialises in the recovery and recycling of various paper and cardboard products.

Hoyland says: "It's a very positive move to make. Having been in the business for 34 years it's not something you do lightly. We've taken the business from nothing to 70 people, which is no mean feat.

"There comes a time and a realisation that it needs to be part of a larger and more dynamic organisation.

"I think the employees have a bright future in a rapidly expanding company." he adds.-It's good news and it protects the j ohs of everyone who works here."

Greenstar UK MD Ian Wakelin says: "This complements the investment in our Greenstar (WES) specialist plastic recycling plant in Redcar, the new Aldridge Material Recycling Facility in Birmingham, and our acquisitions of RU Recycling and Wastelink in 2006."
