• The RSPCA is awaiting a High Court verdict on its attempt last week to stop the export of live sheep to France while the farmers' violent protests continue.
The High Court heard the RSPCA case on 16-17 October and is expected to rule this week if Agriculture Minister John Gummer is in breach of the Export of Animals (Protection) Order 1981. The RSPCA plans a campaign to stop all livestock haulage.
