Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Englands Truck Care of Cardiff has relinquished responsibility for Renault truck sales to Renault Trucks Bristol, one of the manufacturer's 13 wholly owned dealerships in the UK. Englands is continuing as a service and parts outlet.

"Gary Boyland, our new salesman in South Wales, is beginning to pick up orders and good inquiries," says Renault Trucks Bristol director and general manager Mike Jakeways. The move means Renault Bristol is responsible for Newport and Swansea as well as the Welsh capital. It already covers the west of England down to Cornwall, plus Gloucester and Hereford.

Independent dealers working under Renault Trucks Bristol provide much of the aftersales coverage, Jakeways explains. He's inherited dealers at Haverfordwest and Hereford as well as Englands. West of England service and parts coverage is boosted by Plymstock Commercials in Plymouth and AE George of Bruton in Somerset, along with Devon County Commercials in Exeter and Cheltenham Commercial Vehicles.

"We're also hoping to recruit somebody in the Taunton area, and possibly somebody for Swansea and Newport too," says Jakeways.

"I'd love to appoint somebody in Cornwall, but it would have to be viable," he says.

Jakeways expects to sell 18o new trucks this year. "It's been a cracking year," he says, "our best ever."

On the used front, the distinctly unglamorous G34o tractor unit is proving remarkably popular, he says. "We've done over 40 this year, and exported upwards of to of them. They're cheap to buy and run, and they're reliable."
