GPO for 2,500 Anglia 5 cwt. vans (the Post Office ordered 1,850 of these vans in August) worth about £750,000. And the GPO has also ordered 558 Transit 22 cwt. vans worth about £350000.
£750,000 of Commers THE Rootes Group commercial vehicle -` division has been awarded a contract to supply 1,175 Commer 2500 Series 1-ton vans to the General Post Office. The order is worth about 1750,000. The Commers will be used as engineering utility vans. An order for 600 similar Commers was placed several months ago.
