PASSENGERS on regular long-distance express road coach services will be able to order a glass of beer or a ginand-tonic during their journey if Mr. H. Bottomley, general manager of Ribble Motor Services, Ltd„ secures Parliamentary approval for an amendment to the new Licensing Bill.
A plea has been submitted by Mr. Bottomley to Mr. Dennis Vosper, M.P., Minister of State for Home Affairs, for an amendment to the Licensing Bill, now before Parliament, which would "enable excise licences to be issued authorizing the sale of alcoholic drinks for consumption by passengers On public service vehicles which are suitably equipped for the sale of refreshments."
