Motorbuses for Dover?

On Tuesday last the tramways committee of Dover Corporation decided to recommend the town council to operate the tramways until 1936, when the loans will be repaid. It is proposed to seek powers to run motorbuses after that date. Waterloo Bridge: Special Traffic Plans.

The London and Home Counties Traffic Advisory Committee has framed a traffic arrangement to be followed during the reconstruction of Waterloo Bridge, London. Assuming that the temporary bridge is kept open for traffic, the suggestion is that it should be used only by south-hound traffic, and that north-bound vehicles should proceed by Westminster Bridge, Blackfriars Bridge, or Lambeth Bridge. It is further suggested that one-way traffic working should be introduced in Savoy Street, Norfolk Street, and Approach Road.

The reconstruction of Waterloo Bridge is computed to take five years to complete. The suggestion for the traffic arrangementis now being ccnsidered in association with the local authorities concerned.
