The company has been a service and parts agent for the marque (previously represented in the area by old-established dealer Bowens) for just over 1 2 months; it is now a fully fledged distributor. "It's the first time Pullman has ventured into new commercial vehicle sales and it's going very well," says distributor principal Murdo Macintosh. "It's a tough market, but we're working hard to re-establish the territory and we've made a very good start in a short space of time. "Historically the ERF parc has been fairly constant," he adds, "but we aim to ensure it expands in the future."

The company is responsible for a large territory—Lothian, Borders, Tayside and Fife— and has two sub-dealers; Cochrane's Garages in Berwick and Tayscot Trucks in Dundee. "Remember that Berwick is an hour-and-a quarter's drive from Edinburgh," says Macintosh. Pullman Fleet Services has a network of 16 depots across the UK providing specialist contract-hire and maintenance services including fridge units and tail-lifts.

ERF has two distributors in Scotland; the other one is ERF Strathclyde.
