Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

of unsold used tractors is greatly exaggerated says Frank Maycock, joint managing director of Scania distributor Haydock Commercials and chairman of the Scania dealer association.

Maycock points out that the used truck market is very big, and can soak up more tractors than many people realise. "There's certainly no glut of R-cab tractors at 380hp and upwards, and a three-year-old Scania will fetch the same price as a one-year-old Mercedes," he says.

Haydock now has sites at Ellesmere Port and Hale Bank, Widnes. "We're very pleased with the performance of both of them to date," says Maycock. "At Widnes we bought a customer's workshop, and it has good access and good parking."
