• The directors of Parkriver Transport Ltd., of Church Stretton, were warned by Mr. J. Else, the West Midland LA, in Shrewsbury on Monday, that if they came before him again with any irregularity they should not expect any sympathy. The LA was referring to a matter which arose from a public inquiry at Hanley last April when it was found that the applicant company had been operating illegally from the wrong base. It appeared. however, that they were more sinned against than sinning and he was prepared to overlook the past. He granted the application, as amended, for a new A licence for three artics to carry steel for the British Steel Corporation only.
