CASH support from Lancashire County Council is coming to the aid of the Lancaster City Council passenger transport undertaking. After private-hire income is taken off the £200,000 deficit on last year's operation the county will pay 70 per cent of the remaining deficit. Lancaster City Council officials are also hopeful that the same formula will be applied to operations this year.
