The 17 tonne dropside tipper with an Atlas crane 3008HD, clamshell bucket and rotator disappeard from a vehicle park at Neverden between 1 8:00hrs on 10 August and 07:00hrs the following day. "It was there in the evening but when we came back it had gone," says Stewart "SJ" Stennett, whose company, Stennett Self Drive Hire, owns the truck. "Funnily enough, the gates hadn't been cut, they'd been opened."
The 1617, reg G396 NMW, has a white cab and black trailer. Its chassis number is 61701825452107 and the engine number is 36695220947576. It was on hire to Dick Claydon, who is using it while reinstating a roadway.
Stennett says this is the fourth truck to go missing in two years and none has been recovered. "We're fitting the

ieves drove Wrekin Construction's eight-wheeler Leyland Daf 3027 through three concrete posts and a fence, across a field and along a footpath to get it out of the company's yard. The black truck, fitted with a Brimec body, was taken from Wrekin's yard at Shifnal near Telford on Monday 8 August. Wrekin's plant manager Peter Greenwood believes that the truck, reg H115 SHW, was badly damaged.

Greenwood believes the thieves were interested in the U5,000 truck, Fitted with a red Viper crane, to break it into parts.The thieves also ripped off the Metro Stoplock fitted to the steering wheel.
