AN EIGHT-YEAR extension of the United States Government's gas-turbine coach programme has been announced by Greyhound.
Four more MC8 Amencruisers — similar to one which was displayed in Britain in April — will be fitted with Detroit Diesel Allison gas turbines supplied by the US Department of Energy.
Their performance will be measured by California Institute of Technology's jet propulsion laboratory.
