• Hertfordshire Mercedes-Benz dealer S&B Commercials will move into a new four-acre depot in a year's time, says managing director; Ron Holmes. "It's only TOO yards away from our existing site in Welham Green," he reports, "so we won't be going far."
The present occupier makes earthmoving equipment and the site is ideal for S&B's requirements, says Holmes. "It's got a large. concreted yard, workshops with over head cranes, paint shops, and masses of office accommodation."
The new base will also give S&B the extra parking space it needs. "We've always got at least Icso vehicles, and we need somewhere to put them," says Holmes.
His existing depot covers 1.5 acres, with an additional threequarters of an acre for parking on a separate plot. The company sells about 5,000 new commercial vehicles every year.
