Volvo Bus general manager Sandy Glennie claims the company's BlOM single deck coach chassis has taken a 47.9% share of its market which, in turn, is 18% down on last year.
The company's latest sale is to Derby City Transport which is purchasing five Volvo Citybus double deckers, worth over £200,000, to add to its existing fleet of 23 Citybuses. The Citybuses are powered by Volvo TUG 101GB six-cylinder turbo charged diesels driving through Volvo's ZFFI P500 gearbox.
